Both Jared and Bana grew up in southern Oregon attending the same church as children. They were introduced to short term missions together through a youth group missions trip to Tecate, Mexico. When they married in 2001 neither had any idea what God had in store for them over the coming years. It was while attending at New Tribes Bible Institute, Waukesha that they first saw God’s call on their lives in tribal missions. In 2004, Naomi Joy was born while still at NTBI. After graduating they spent time serving at Jerome Prairie Bible Church, their home church, and in May of 2006 Lydia Anne was born. Evangeline Grace was born in March of 2008 and after graduation from the NTM Missionary Training Center the Major’s moved home to Oregon.

The Major’s are currently living in the Philippines and studying Tagalog as they prepare to work as church planters among the unreached there.
