There are some things that Filipinos like to do BIG and birthdays are one of them.  Lately we attended a birthday party with the girls.  This a picture of one of our teachers and the celebrant her daughter Dei.  The kids had a great time they really love birthday parties here!

Our friends Brooke and Brian had their baby a few weeks ago.  Having a baby in the Philippines is a bit different than in the states. One of the differences is that you have to have someone to “take care of you” at all times, you’ve got to have a “kasama” or companion all the time.  Since this is their 4th baby Brian needed to go back and be with their other 3 kids.  I was so excited to get to go and be with Brooke for the night.  Baby Skye is so sweet and reminded me of what a blessing each and every child is!
